Croeso/Welcome to Dosbarth Porffor’s class page! I am Mrs A Morgan, class teacher of Dosbarth Porffor. We are an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative mixed Year 5/6 class, who strive to make the best of our talents.
Here, you will find information about the curriculum and planning for this academic year, class activities, important dates, letters and ways to support learning at home. We aim to provide a stimulating and inclusive environment where every pupil can develop their skills and confidence. Please check this page regularly for updates and news about our class.

PE

PE lessons will take place on Wednesday this year. Children should wear the correct PE kit: black bottoms or shorts, a school polo top and trainers. Please ensure your child comes prepared to participate fully.

Homework/Home Tasks

Homework for Dosbarth Porffor will be assigned on Fridays and should be completed and returned by the following Friday. Depending on the nature of the task, homework will be provided either as a paper copy sent home or through Google Classroom. Weekly spellings are given out every Monday morning, with daily practice in class to prepare for a spelling test on Friday. These spellings will also be sent home on Monday for additional practice. Additionally, children are encouraged to read a book of their choice at home every day. Children have weekly access to the School Library to select a book to take home, each Friday lunchtime.
